Student accommodation might be most convenient since renting private short
term accommodation might prove difficult especially if it should be furnished.
The Studentenwerk informs about student accommodation.
Rents range from 75 to 250 Euro / month with an average 140 Euros.
Most of the rooms are furnished with a bed, reading desk, wardrobe and most
have shared kitchen (with a cooker and refrigerator), bathrooms and toilets.

Personal recommendation: Most affordable accommodation is clearly
student accommodation. For example the hall of residence in Siegmundshof
in the district Tiergarten charges 160 Euro / month. The rooms are small
and I lived there comfortably for one year. I consider it a suitable accommodation
for international students because it is centrally located and because it
is not necessary to speak German to make friends and to deal with the friendly
